Linux and Widescreen

If you happen to have Linux and a widescreen monitor (e.g. a flat screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio), you should add the following line to your xorg.conf (either in the Device or Screen section):

Option "FlatPanelProperties" "Scaling = aspect-scaled"
