Why does everyone use ICQ for file transfer?

Because it is so simple? Because everyone has it? Sorry, but everyone has E-Mail, too.

What can I say? I simply hate the ICQ file transfer window with its <1 kb/s transfer rate. Please, ICQ, disable this "feature", or get better servers. And please, all of you, stop using ICQ for file transfer when there are mail attachments as alternative.
